mammograms

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Jun 01, 2004 1:22 pm

I just had my very first mammogram, and now, with all this new information coming out about radiation from mammograms CAUSING cancer, or accelerating the spread of cells already present...I'm feeling very confused and worried. Am I at risk now...after just one mammogram? I truly wanted to "wait" until they came out with the thermography method...or the digital mammogram, but my loved ones suggested strongly that I go now. I am 44 years old....very healthy with no problems...and wish I would have waited!! I feel now I may have possibly caused a problem. Any comments would be helpful.
