Time Delay

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I have a lump in my breast, first available mammography date is f months away. visit to a breast surgeon is "only" a month a half away. I'm 26 years old. lump is not moving anywhere it seems it is not getting bigger ( it's only been around a month or two). Should I be worried?

First of all, the chances of your having breast cancer is very small. Does the lump change at all during your menstrual cycle. We often check out palpable masses in young women with ultrasound. If mammography is considered necessary, you should be slipped into an earlier slot than 4 months. Most places reserve spots for people such as yourself with palpable masses.
