i got so excited i thought it was curtains for me.my neck arteries under my thyroid gland started palpating irregularly and i felt like something was going to burst.Is ther such a condition?can you die from excitement?im 42 yr old female,just had a physical -nothing abnormal

Such palpatations are not uncommon and most often mean little more than too much stress and coffee. Under these circumstances, ultrasound would not be of any value.
But check with your doctor.
