As a child I was always being told off for being a daydreamer, I would have times when the daydreaming would mean I did not know what was going on around me, it would not last long and was just put down to being me.
As an adult it continued, somedays being worse than others, usually depending on how stressed I was about something.
I know I have had lots of occaisions where people are talking to me, but I dont hear them.

See your regular doctor or your ob-gyn. You may need a general checkup. TELL THEM about your fears. If your physician is a good one, he/she will be there to treat your entire body. Knowing what the problem is (or IF there is a problem) is better than not knowing what to do. It may be physical. It may be stress response. It may be a combination. Good Luck. Emma
